Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

With gratitude to God, we would like to share another update on the restoration of our new monastery property in New Hampshire.

Since our previous letter, a great deal of important work has been completed. Through your prayers, generosity, and financial support, we continue to see the monastery being restored step by step and prepared for prayer, monastic life, and hospitality.

We are very thankful to report that the septic system and grease trap have now been fully restored and are functioning properly. The hydronic heating system has also been repaired, and all of the damage caused by last winter’s freezing temperatures has been addressed. Cracked pipes have been replaced, including the installation of new copper piping where necessary.

The plumbing in St. Anthony Guest House is now functional as well. We are presently bringing in gas-heating technicians to service and start both heating units so that the building will be properly prepared for the coming cold weather.

With these essential systems restored, we are now preparing to install insulation and drywall in the areas where damaged walls and ceilings had to be demolished.

At the same time, work continues throughout the property. We expect the Small Chapel and the Blue House to be restored within the next ten days.

We are also preparing to begin two significant projects: the extension of the main Chapel to provide a proper Altar area, and work on the roof of the trapeza (monastery refectory).

When we look back at the condition of the property only a short time ago, we are deeply grateful for how much has already been accomplished. The new metal roof was completed, damaged ceilings were removed, the septic and plumbing systems have been restored, the heating system has been repaired, and several buildings are steadily returning to usable condition.

All of this has been possible through God’s mercy and through your prayers, financial support, materials, and personal labor.

We are especially grateful to our benefactors and volunteers, as well as to everyone who has helped with the difficult physical work. Every contribution—large or small—has helped bring the monastery closer to becoming a fully functioning home for the brotherhood and a place where we may welcome the faithful.

God willing, we hope very soon to begin receiving guests at the monastery. This is an important milestone for us, and we look forward to welcoming you here for prayer, Divine Services, fellowship, and peaceful time at the monastery.

There is still much work ahead, particularly as we complete the interior restoration and undertake the Chapel extension and trapeza roof. We therefore humbly ask you to continue remembering St. Demetrios Monastery and our brotherhood in your prayers and, if you are able, to continue supporting this work.
