Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

With gratitude to God, we would like to inform you that, with the blessing of our ruling bishop and through the generous help of our benefactors, our monastery has been able to acquire a new property at 768 Doetown Road, Rumney, New Hampshire.

The property consists of 135 acres and includes five buildings. This new monastery property will allow our brotherhood to grow and to organize the necessary activities of monastic life, including gardens, various workshops, and, most importantly, proper accommodation for additional monastics.

We plan to continue maintaining our current monastery property in Framingham. Sunday services, services for major feast days, and confessions will continue there on appointed days. Please continue to follow our weekly monastery mailer for the schedule of services.

At this time, we are not yet ready to receive visitors at the new monastery property. Additional announcements will be sent when we are prepared to welcome visitors for daily visits and overnight stays on the new monastery grounds.

At the present moment, our most urgent need is to save the former schoolhouse, which we hope to use as the main trapeza, guest quarters for men and women separately, and workshop space. The roof is leaking, and we need to raise $45,000 in order to preserve this building. The crew starts demolition of the flooded ceiling next week.

At this time, we have already used our monastery savings for the down payment on the property. We hope, with God’s help and the support of our faithful benefactors, to complete this urgent repair as soon as possible.

This project will greatly benefit the monastery and the wider Orthodox community, giving more space for prayer, monastic life, hospitality, and service.
